Our Seattle home inspectors complete 120 hours of state-certified training and an initial 40 hours of field training before taking both State and National exams. At Titan, we spend an additional minimum of 300 hours in the field with our inspectors until they are ready to give our clients their best. Plus, all of our inspectors have a construction background, so they know what they’re looking at.
Home inspectors are actually required to use only a few types of equipment. In theory, an inspector could perform an inspection that complies with the Standards of Practice using only two pieces of equipment: a flashlight and an electrical tester capable of testing ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) devices. The specific items inspectors use may vary with climate zone, the type of inspections they offer, the type of home being inspected, and personal preference.
We have access to the best reporting software on the market, so our reports are clear and actionable. We also take over 200 pictures to add to the report, adding more context and offering a better insight into your home investment. The reports are typically sent by 9 a.m. the next day, but we can sometimes get reports to you on the same day if you’re in a pinch.

I take a realistic approach to houses.
People live in them, weather affects them, people work on them (some do a good job, some… not so good). Fires and damage happen, investors fix up and sell them, owners remodel them (with and without permits). Of course, people buy and sell houses for many different reasons.
Every reason for buying or selling includes a strategy or goal for the property. Our job as a good home inspector in Seattle and the Puget region is to give you the key pieces of information, so you can make an informed choice about what to do with the property.
