    Inspection fails roundup – 01/22

    Posted on: March 23, 2022

My team of inspectors and I see A LOT while out looking at homes. Some of it good, some of it bad, and some of it just plain funny.

You’ve all enjoyed these fails every time I share them, so here are some more!

This is all in good fun, so don’t be mean to any of the anonymous houses featured here. All homes have their weird stuff!

With that out of the way, let’s take a look…

    1. Ready to burst

a washer line with a strange bump

You don’t know, what you don’t know, this babies about to burst. Pays to know what’s hidden behind your washer. Phew!

    2. Flaming hot

a large flame coming out of a stovetop burner

I don’t want to start a gas stove vs electric debate – but I will say that that this ain’t burning man. Keep those flames under control!

    3. So close, yet so far

a closet with shelves that are too short to connect

This is why it’s important to double and triple check your measurements.

    4. Blocks path

a vent blocked by a pipe

Generally speaking, if you want your vent to vent it’s gonna need to be able to actually vent.

    5. Just a few missing tiles

a roof with extensive damage and missing tiles

This might take a bit more than duct tape to fix.

All homes have their quirks, all we can do is laugh and fix what we can.

    I’m just sayin’
